RustFind Discord App Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RustFind handles data for the RustFind Discord app and bot features, including Discord raid alerts, server alert channels, bot commands, and optional staff/admin utilities.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use RustFind, we may process:
- Discord user IDs linked by users for direct-message alert delivery.
- Discord guild/server IDs when the bot is invited to a server.
- Discord channel IDs selected for alert, announcement, or rules delivery.
- Discord role IDs when auto-role or permission-gated staff commands are configured.
- Basic Discord bot command activity, delivery status, and error logs needed to operate and troubleshoot the bot.
- Rust+ alert metadata needed to send alerts, such as alert type, severity, server label, grid/location, message text, timestamps, and delivery state.
RustFind does not ask for, store, or need your Discord password. RustFind does not intentionally collect private Discord message contents except for messages the RustFind bot itself sends or receives as part of configured bot features.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Send Rust+ raid alerts and related warning or critical alerts to linked Discord users.
- Send configured alert messages, announcements, rules, or images to selected Discord channels.
- Check whether bot setup, channel access, role access, and delivery are working.
- Prevent abuse, debug failures, and maintain the security and reliability of RustFind.
Sharing
We do not sell Discord data. We may share data only with service providers that host or operate RustFind, when required by law, or when a user or server administrator intentionally configures RustFind to send data into Discord.
Retention and deletion
Discord IDs, guild IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, and alert settings are kept while they are needed to provide configured RustFind features. Users can clear their linked Discord user ID in RustFind. Server administrators can remove the RustFind bot from their Discord server to stop server-level bot access. Alert events and delivery diagnostics may be retained for operational history and troubleshooting unless deletion is requested or retention is no longer needed.
User choices
- You can disable Discord direct-message alerts in RustFind.
- You can clear your saved Discord user ID in RustFind.
- You can remove the bot from a Discord server you administer.
- You can disable DMs from server members in Discord, although this may prevent RustFind alert delivery.
Security
RustFind uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored configuration and alert data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Children
RustFind is intended for users who are allowed to use Discord and Rust-related services under their applicable terms and local laws.
Changes
We may update this policy as RustFind changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
