RustFind Rust+ Connector Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2, 2026

RustFind Rust+ Connector is a browser extension that helps a user intentionally connect the official Facepunch Rust+ login flow to the RustFind Rust+ connection page.

Information handled by the extension

After the user signs in through the official Facepunch Rust+ login page, the extension temporarily handles the Rust+ authorization response required to pair a Rust server with the user's RustFind account. The extension does not read or store the user's Steam password.

How the information is used

The authorization response is transferred only from the official Facepunch Rust+ login page to the RustFind Rust+ connection page so the user can complete the requested connection. RustFind uses the resulting Rust+ credentials to provide the server-pairing and Rust+ command-link features requested by the user.

Temporary extension storage

The extension uses Chrome session storage to hold the authorization response temporarily while transferring it between the two permitted pages. The extension removes that temporary value immediately after RustFind retrieves it. The extension does not use permanent browser storage for this authorization response.

RustFind server storage

When the user completes a Rust+ server pairing, RustFind stores the credentials required to maintain the requested Rust+ connection. These credentials are encrypted before database storage. They are not returned to the browser after pairing. The user can remove a paired server from RustFind to delete its stored credentials.

Website access

The extension is limited to the following pages:

The extension does not access unrelated websites, display advertisements, or sell user data.

Data sharing

The extension transfers the Rust+ authorization response only to RustFind as necessary to provide the user-requested connection feature. RustFind does not sell this data.
