FAQ

RustFind questions about player lookup, Rust+ alerts, maps, and privacy.

These answers cover the public RustFind tools and the privacy boundaries around Steam data, Rust+ pairing, Discord alerts, and support tickets.

Is RustFind affiliated with Facepunch Studios?

No. RustFind is an independent Rust companion platform and is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios.

Can RustFind see private Steam data?

No. RustFind can only show Steam profile, playtime, name, and inventory information when Steam exposes that data publicly or the user has authorized access through normal platform flows.

Do Rust+ Discord alerts require sign-in?

Yes. Rust+ tools require authentication and supported Rust+ pairing so RustFind can connect the right server, alert configuration, and Discord destination.

Which Rust alerts does RustFind focus on?

RustFind focuses on alerts around Rust+ smart alarms, smart switches, teammate activity, disconnects, team wipe signals, and raid-related events where enabled.

Are dynamic player profile pages indexed?

No. RustFind intentionally keeps dynamic player result pages out of the sitemap and marks profile detail paths noindex to avoid thin pages and accidental exposure of sensitive context.

Can I upload screenshots to support?

Signed-in users can attach safe files to support tickets. RustFind rejects risky executable, script, archive, and oversized file types.
